Why I Was There |
With an aim to "Bridging the Gap", I went on a two week training to Dublin, Ireland. My course was on Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). The training sessions in the morning were well balanced by the outings in the afternoon to the various Museums and Art Galleries, which were also used to source the training sessions of the next day.
The 10 day course covered the history of CLIL, Theory and Methodology of Language Learning, Teaching various subjects through CLIL, teaching CLIL based skills lessons, CLIL and learner autonomy and project based learning. This was especially relevant for not just for this project, but also in my day to day teaching as our is a bilingual school and the learnt techniques can be gainfully applied to the lessons in our school. |
